Goya Banzai Surf Pro
A focus on maximum maneuverability and control in wave riding. This new design has a very neutral feel.
You’re free to carve your lines on the waves and surf exactly how you want. Neutrality and lightness allow you to surf for hours. Handling characteristics: The Banzai Surf Pro has a slightly higher profile and a shorter boom than the Banzai 11 Pro and Banzai Max.
This, combined with the lower and more centered sail center, gives you a neutral and balanced feel for maximum control and maneuverability. This also makes the sail very light in your hands, allowing you to ride longer and have total control while surfing. It never feels too powerful or too flat; the power is there when you need it.
The Banzai Surf is the sail of choice for Kai Lenny, Jason Polakow, and Francisco Goya.
Construction and Materials:
Main Window Panel – Dimension Polyant’s 6-mil Bi-PLY features two layers of 3-mil PET film.
This creates a softer texture, improves flexibility, and reduces creasing. UV inhibitors in the adhesive significantly increase the product’s durability compared to a traditional monofilm.
Bottom Panel – The 4-mil Aramid Scrim features a scrim enhanced with larger denier fibers while maintaining the high tenacity of aramid X-PLY®.
It offers significantly greater resistance to tears and punctures at the highest impact points of pure wave riding. Colored Top Panels – The Dimension-Polyant 2.5-mil Scrim is a polyester plus X-PLY® scrim designed to reduce weight while still offering less stretch than a traditional X-PLY-only product.
The carbon stretch control tapes are produced using pre-tensioned carbon fiber bundles to ensure low stretch and zero wrinkling.
The enhanced PSA adhesive allows for aggressive adhesion. The use of these tapes allows for lighter and more efficient sail reinforcement. Top Window Panels – High-quality 4-mil Dimension Polyant monofilm. Double-stitched – Around the main window. Dacron leech edge reinforcement. Folded/cut trailing edge on the mast pocket to prevent fraying.
