The innovative rounded delta middle section and unique high aspect wings provide early, and easy lift combined with maximum glide performance and speed. The Glide Swift Carbon is the perfect choice for EVERYONE, from beginners to experts.
It is easy to control and offers a very early take-off even without perfect pumping technique. Its placements at the top GWA events demonstrate that it is anything but a pure beginner’s foil. The Glide Swift not only impresses in racing, but also earns points in pump sections, waves, and freestyle.
**Sizes 8-14 are available as a full set. Size 6 is available as a front wing only.**
INNOVATION
Designed and tested at our NeilPryde Maui Design Center by Nils Rosenblad, former NeilPryde Windsurfing sail designer and America’s Cup engineer, then further developed through our team’s feedback from across the world. No stone is left uncovered in our relentless drive to be the best at what we do.
This is a departure from the original Glide foil concept. The Glide Swift is a medium / high aspect ratio foil which combines the glide and performance of high aspect ratio foils with the ease of use of medium aspect ratio foils.
The carbon front wing, which features an inflected leading edge with outer high-aspect sections and a moderate center sweep, maximizes agility and helps to control hard turns. The low-drag wingtips reduce drag and decrease the risk of injury.
The tail is a swept wing design with turned up wing tips. It’s optimized for a balance between speed, stability and turning. In terms of stability it punches above its weight for the area due to the sweep. At the same time, it offers extremely responsive yet forgiving turning.
The aspect ratio of the front wings changes from 9.1 in the smallest 600cm2 wing to 7.3 in the biggest 1450 cm2 wing. This allows us to maximize the glide in each size without the larger wings becoming difficult to turn and control.
The super stiff carbon mast and optimized mast-fuselage connection provide maximum speeds and a direct steering feel with their high stability.
The integrated blended-fuselage connection reduces drag and improves stiffness by increasing chord thickness at the fuse.
The turned up, rounded wing tips deliver optimum performance while reducing the risk of injury.
All parts of the Glide system are compatible with one and other. You can choose to purchase an entire new Glide Swift system or just the front and tail wings.
