The 2012 Manic HD is constructed on using a similar blue print as for the Manic, but using different fabrics.

The Manic HD is constructed using a full X-Ply structure which makes it lighter and faster. Even if it is lighter, the sail is tough and can handle punishment without suffering damage due to the durable X-ply structure. The sail feels neutral on the waves and has a balanced and smooth power delivery. The shorter luff absorbs forces and proportionally distributes the wind force to generate a smooth glide. The lower profile allows the rider to power up the sail easily and experience fast speeds. Another advantage of this new outline is that it assures incredible twist control and effortless handling. A forward set pressure point improves control and keeps the sail well balanced at top speeds.

The G10 mini battens structure keeps the sail stable in all wind and wave conditions and reduces overall weight.
